Information We Collect
Automatically Collected Information
When you use Cleen, the extension automatically collects and stores:
- Product Information: Titles, prices, images, URLs, and descriptions from websites you choose to save.
- Website URLs: URLs of product pages you add to your cart.
- Price History: Historical price data for products you're monitoring.
- Timestamps: Dates and times when products are added or prices are checked.
User-Provided Information
- Manual Product Entries: Information you manually enter when adding products.
- Notes: Any notes you add to products.
- Settings: Your preferences (language, theme, notifications).
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely to:
- Display your saved products in your centralized cart.
- Monitor price changes and notify you.
- Provide analytics on price history.
- Sync your data across your devices (if Cloud sync is enabled).
Data Storage
Local Storage (Default)
By default, all your data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's Storage API. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable Cloud sync.
Cloud Storage (Optional)
If you choose to enable Cloud storage via Firebase:
- Your data is stored on Google Firebase / Firestore.
- Data is associated with an anonymous user ID.
- Authentication is anonymous (no personal info required).
- Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We commit to NOT:
- Sell your data to third parties.
- Share your data with advertisers.
- Use your data for marketing purposes.
- Track your browsing activity beyond product pages you explicitly save.
Third-Party Services
- Firebase / Firestore (Google): Used only if Cloud sync is enabled. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- E-commerce Websites: The extension accesses product pages to extract pricing information. We do not share your cart data with these websites.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access Your Data: View all saved products directly in the extension.
- Export Your Data: Export all your data in JSON format via Settings.
- Delete Your Data: Delete individual products or clear all data via Settings > Data Management.
- Disable Features: Turn off auto-detection, price monitoring, or Cloud sync.
- Uninstall: Removing the extension deletes all local data.
GDPR Compliance
As a developer based in France, Agence224 ensures that Cleen complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information by default. All optional cloud data is stored anonymously and encrypted.
